Every child is precious. One of my top goals is to help encourage children express themselves through writing. Children are our future and it’s our responsibility to give them tools needed to be successful in life starting from a young age. Being a mother of 3 children, I was inspired to create the journal ‘I’m Awesome’ to understand my kids at a deeper level at the same time helping them express themselves in a creative way. Each of my children express themselves in their own unique way. When they journal, I am able to look back and see certain patterns in their writing or behavior and emotions.

Having a background in Rehabilitation along with MEd in Health Education and Active Living, I was able to utilize my education and experience to create a tool that will help children in express themselves, setting goals and staying organized. Writing is used as a pedagogy to express emotions, relieve stress, organize thoughts and is therapeutic. Journaling is an embodied experience which is express through writing without being judged or evaluated on. Let’s help our children be their own unique individuals.
